Cordless drills provide many benefits over normal drills. There is no need for that big pile of mangled wires in the back of your truck. They are flexible, portable, and are the new industry standard. They used to be very expensive, but today everything is wireless so it is a must if you are a carpenter or handyman.
The battery chemistry has 3 types: NiCad, NiMH, and Lithium-ion. NiCad, or NiCd, battery is used in older cordless drill tools. They are the least expensive, so almost all inexpensive cordless tools use this type of battery. There is one problem with this battery. It's toxic to the environment. So when it's time to dispose the dead NiCd battery it's a problem.

These types of batteries also do not receive any damage if you use your phone while its charging. Older cell phones that used older types of batteries would damage the battery if used while charging. This simply is not the case anymore with the newer mobile phone batteries.
There are some concerns when it comes to these high powered batteries and how good they are for the environment. But all hybrid batteries are set to be recycled (Toyota has a $200 bounty on each Lithium battery stocks pack), and so unlike some lead batteries from conventional cars, they shouldn't end up in landfills.
Lithium mines Ontario-Ion batteries are revolutionary in fact, not just simply better than Ni-Cd. They don't have memory effect, which means you can easily use them a little and then partially recharge them just to discharge them to a certain percentage of their capacity other than zero. They like partial charges and discharges better than full ones, but memory effect is not something you should be aware of.
Battery memory affect is the length of time a battery will work before it needs recharged. The battery 'learns' such period of time through how you use it. If you repeatedly use your laptop for one hour and then charge it, its battery will learn to stay strong for only one hour. Using a Lithium battery and using it until it is almost dead and then recharging it will greatly increase the period of time that the battery will stay strong. Grooming items are iffy but worth checking out. Shampoo is a decent find as are scrubbies/loofahs. Items like Chapstick and Vaseline can often be found there and my very favorite soap (Yardley oatmeal and almond) is almost always available at the dollar store. Nail files, packages of combs, tooth flossing sticks are of value. Skip the cotton swabs (too flimsy and could be dangerous), make-up (due to lack of regulation), and make-up remover pads (can I just say UGH!?).
